Over the last year, we’ve gone through a lot of adjustments. More time at home had us focusing on goals and dreams we've wanted to tackle, but didn’t have the time for, until now. For example, the term “quarantine puppy” seems to apply to a lot of family dogs these days, but what about those DIY home projects? Here is a list of great home upgrades you may not have considered:

1. Paint

A fresh coat of paint job gives your home a whole makeover! Do the entire house or maybe just a room or two for a fresh look. This is a fun project because it opens the door to so many new possibilities for home décor as well. One of the best home improvement projects over the last year has been the rise in home theaters. Transform part of your basement or even a spare bedroom into a home theater. With the proper use of soundproofing, comfortable seating, and a projector you'll have something the whole family will enjoy, especially on rainy days.

5. Game Room

A rec room is the perfect solution for those parents working from home. Create a theme, incorporate arcade machines, table tennis or a pool table and your game room is guaranteed to make everyone happy.
